This year, during Chinese New Year, my family and I traveled to China. It was my third time flying to China. The first time was in 2017, when we joined a tour group that visited Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, and other places. The second time was in 2019, before COVID-19, when we joined Orchard Dynasty Travel and went to Hainan. My grandfather’s ancestral home is in Hainan, and my grandmother’s is in Fujian Province, China.
This third trip was during this Chinese New Year. We traveled with Golden Destination (GD) again. At the end of 2024, we went to N Nano Travel to inquire about tours to Zhangjiajie during the upcoming New Year period. The staff asked when we wanted to go, and we chose the New Year’s Eve tour, scheduled from January 28th to February 3rd. The tour did not include any shopping stops.
Since our flight was at 2:40 AM on January 28th, we booked a bus on January 27th to take us to Terminal 1 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Our travel agency provided both the bus tickets and travel insurance, so we didn’t have to purchase them ourselves. We chose the 3 PM YOYO Bus. YoyoBus is a direct express service to KLIA, available from locations like Johor Bahru Queen Bus Terminal (Tun Aminah), Yong Peng, and Larkin Bus Terminal. It serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
We arrived at Queen Bus Terminal (Tun Aminah) at 1 PM. We chose this terminal because it’s the closest to our home. After arriving, we went to the counter to exchange our bus tickets for boarding passes. We waited for about 20 minutes before our bus arrived. My father and the driver loaded our suitcases into the luggage compartment. My father did this to make sure all our bags were placed together, as there were likely many tourists heading to the airport, and he wanted to avoid any mix-ups.
We arrived at Terminal 1 of KLIA at around 7 PM. Since we usually fly from Terminal 2, we first checked the map of Terminal 1, then went to have dinner. During dinner, I called my grandparents and told them we were eating at a restaurant in Terminal 1. After that, we headed to the departure hall and waited until after 11 PM to gather at Counter K. Once gathered, we brought our luggage to the counter to be weighed and received our boarding passes.
This time, we were flying to Changsha in Hunan Province, China. CSX is english names of Changsha airport names is Huang Hua international airport of Changsha Hunan province
