‘Rise Of Evil’ vol:3

As the dawn broke out, the huge body of the holy paladin collapsed due to exhaustion. His senior quickly caught his heavy body.
“You have done a great job… Much better than us,” his senior applauded.

After they sent him to the medical room, they started to clean the city up. They settled the citizens down in the temporary houses, as most houses were destroyed in the attack last night.

As they were cleaning the city, one of them stared at the empty field in confusion.

“I feel like something is missing here… something big and important.”

His seniors visit him after work. They talk to each other by his bedside.

“Guys I just feel like something should be in that field but I just can’t remember…” the first senior holy paladin, Barrie, expressed his concern.

“You’re right, the field does look a little too empty,” the second senior paladin, Cisco, agreed.

“Are you saying that we should add trees to the field?” the third senior paladin, George, answered stupidly, unaware of the glances thrown at him.

George had his head hit by his comrades.

“Wait, guys, I think that stone pile should have something held in it,” the fourth senior paladin, Johnny, answered.

“Oh yeah, I do remember now. It used to be an altar, but for what again?” George curiously expressed his point of view.

“It’s for the legendary sword, of course! How could we forget? We should be the ones destined to wield and protect it!” Cisco remembered, his face sparked in excitement at his contribution to the conversation.

“But where is it now?” Barrie asked.

Suddenly, the entire room is dead silent. There were shivers running down their spines.

“Wait a second guys. It is impossible for any unworthy person to pull it out and use it, that means it is in the hands of someone worthy,” Cisco reminded them.

“Could that be any one of us here?” Barrie questioned.

“No way! All of us had once tried to pull it out but none of us were even able to move it a little,” Cisco answered.

“If we are talking about that legendary sword, Excalibur, doesn’t that look a little similar to this junior’s sword?” George suggested.

“Oh right it does look a little similar to Excalibur, but even we can’t lift it. It is basically impossible for him too,” Barrie said.

“But I remember that none of the junior paladin has a sword like this.” Cisco reminded them.

The room is dead silent once more. They stared at each other.
“How?!” all of them screamed together.

Barrie quickly stepped forward, attempting to slap the sleeping paladin to wake him up to explain everything, but he was quickly stopped by his comrades.

“Let me wake him up! He has already slept for more than seven days. I want him to explain to me right now clearly!” Barrie is urged to know about the answer.

“What is going on?” Junior paladin, Arthur, asked.

“Oh, he is awake guys!” Johnny exclaimed.

“Let me ask him!” George said excitedly, “Are you hurt?”

“Not this, you idiot!” Barrie scolded George.

“I’m fine, and where am I?” Arthur asked.

“Oh ah, you’re in the medical room” George answered.

“Where did you get the sword from!” Barrie asked eagerly.

“I don’t know, but I think I got it from the rubble,” Arthur answered.

Then Arthur falls back into deep sleep. Leaving all his seniors speechless.

“Was the stone pile the rubble he was talking about, the stone pile where the Excalibur is held?” Cisco suggested.
